St. John Neumann Award for Volunteer Service

HAMDEN — Kevin Brady and Joe Schreck of St. Rita Parish in Hamden were honored recently at the 34th Anniversary HOPES (Help Our Parish Elementary Schools) Dinner sponsored by the Office of Catholic Schools, Archdiocese of Hartford, and held at the Aqua Turf Club, Southington.

The gathering of more than 600 included pastors, principals and volunteer leaders, as well as parents, grandparents, alumni and friends. One hundred twenty-one attendees from 48 schools were honored with the 2011 St. John Neumann Award for Volunteer Service, in recognition of outstanding service to Catholic education at the parish school level.
