BOYS' BASKETBAL: St. Rita wins Archdiocese of Hartford League championship

The St. Rita School in Hamden boys’ junior varsity basketball team recently defeated Corpus Christi in overtime to win the Archdiocese of Hartford League championship.

They went on to represent St. Rita School and the Archdiocese of Hartford in the New England Regionals Tournament in Manchester, N.H.

Team members, pictured at right, are (standing): Marcello DeMico, Jabari Nelson, coach Bernie Brennan, Nick Copenhaver, coach Steve Brandi, Adam Hall, Andrew Varipapa (kneeling): Bobby Schreck, Michael DeLuca, Trevor Brandi, Tyler Riccitelli, and Anthony Mongillo.
